《不可能的任務　鬼影行動》由布萊德柏德導演，湯姆克魯斯與JJ亞伯拉罕監製，耗資一億四千萬美金，在全球最高的杜拜「哈里發塔」展現特技，湯姆克魯斯不用替身，親自攀爬高達828公尺的高塔。他再度扮演伊森杭特探員，其他演員包括傑瑞米雷納、賽門佩吉、寶拉巴頓、麥克恩奎斯特、喬許哈洛威、阿尼爾卡普與蕾雅瑟杜。
