◎簡 介
安迪是六歲的小男孩，他有很多玩具，當他出門在外時，這些玩具就開始過它們自己的生活。一天，安迪拿回一個新玩具--太空戰警巴斯光年。由於它的性能先進，威脅到原來的玩具頭領--牛仔胡迪的統治地位。於是胡迪開始想方設法與巴斯光年作對，但結果是它們兩個都陰差陽錯地置身於屋外的世界。儘管巴斯光年有電動折疊翼、探照燈和腕式對講機，可一旦離開主人的庇護，它也是寸步難行。更糟糕的是，它們還受到安迪鄰居家的狗帶來的威脅。現在，它們只有屏棄前嫌相依為命，彼此相幫著找到回家的路。外面的世界不管多麼精彩，畢竟不是玩具的世界。

◎簡 介
伍迪和巴斯光年等一班玩具們經歷了上回的歷險後友誼日益增強。同時，多迪的看家狗也成為了他們要好的朋友，大家在一起其樂融融。
一天，多迪在玩耍時不慎將伍迪的胳膊弄斷了，這讓伍迪十分傷心，生怕主人會將自己拋棄。不久，多迪的媽媽在家進行大掃除時準備將舊企鵝伍義扔掉，伍迪深感同情，決定挺身相救。當伍迪騎著看家狗將伍義救回時，自己卻不幸失足掉到了院子裡。恰巧此時一個胖玩具商發現了伍迪，他背著多迪的媽媽將伍迪塞入口袋偷了去，並把他帶回到了一個玩具工廠。
當伍迪驚恐萬分急著要逃出工廠時，卻發現這裡有許多的牛仔玩具，並且他們見到伍迪後顯得十分激動。原來，這些玩具都是胖玩具商搜羅來的，他們是過去一部熱門卡通片中的人物，這裡就缺少伍迪這個主角了。為了讓伍迪明白自己的身世，他們為伍迪播放了牛仔卡通片的劇集，伍迪這才知道了自己過去的很多英雄故事，也才知道這些玩具都是當年和自己一起出道的夥伴，同時他還知道了一個他不安的消息，胖玩具商將要把他和這些牛仔夥伴一塊兒被賣到日本的一家玩具博物館去！
巴斯光年等玩具在伍迪被偷走後進行了認真分析，推斷出胖玩具商工廠的地點，於是組成了一支精幹的小分隊前往營救伍迪。在工廠裡，巴斯光年也看到了成群結隊的「巴斯光年」玩具，同時還有他的死對頭……
伍迪被修絨一新，胳膊也接上了，又重新煥發出光彩。可他不想去日本，還是想回到多迪家去。然而多情的牛仔女仔傑茜極力挽留使他猶豫不絕。巴斯光年的營救隊伍終於趕到了，也就在此時，玩具商要帶著牛仔玩具去趕乘到日本的飛機，巴斯光年能將伍迪救出來嗎……

劇情
玩具們的主人安迪今年17歲了，馬上即將迎來他自己人生中的一個重要階段--大學。同時，這個變故對於他的玩具們來說也意義重大，也許這將改變他們所有人的命運。正當伍迪和巴斯光年他們為未來擔憂的時候，安迪決定仍然保留他所有的玩具，並且帶著伍迪一起去大學，將剩下的放入閣樓。但是，安迪的母親卻無意中將打包了玩具的箱子扔進了垃圾堆。當玩具們意識到自己置身於垃圾中時，他們都以為是安迪拋棄了他們。牧羊女傑西這時號召大家掌控自己的命運，開始新的生活。於是玩具們跳進了一個前往日托幼兒園的箱子。與此同時，伍迪作為唯一一個安迪的"親隨"並沒有被放入箱子中。當他意識到大家不見了之後，便開始了他自己的拯救行動。但是不幸的是，最後他自己也被困在了箱子中。來到新的環境後玩具們遇到很多新的朋友，同時也有許多並不十分友好的玩具在那裡等著給他們製造麻煩。玩具們需要闖過許多難關才能找到回家的路，而首先，伍迪必須讓同伴們信服，安迪並沒有拋棄他們。
