今年壓軸動作鉅片《不可能的任務：鬼影行動》由兩度奧斯卡金像獎得主布萊德柏德指導，湯姆克魯斯與JJ亞伯拉罕監製。克里姆林宮發生恐怖爆炸攻擊，總統啟動了鬼影行動，放棄背負罪名的不可能任務情報局以及探員伊森杭特。在失去任何資源以及支援的險惡情況下，伊森必須自行找尋出路，洗清情報局的罪名，更要阻止下一次的攻擊行動。為了完成這艱難的任務，伊森被迫與情報局其他和他一樣正在逃亡的探員共同行動，不過這些人的動機卻不明。湯姆克魯斯再度扮演伊森杭特探員，其他國際巨星也加入演員陣容，包括傑瑞米雷納、賽門佩吉、寶拉巴頓、麥克恩奎斯特、喬許哈洛威、阿尼爾卡普與蕾雅瑟杜。
