劇情：
故事描述一名從越戰生還返家的軍人(蒂姆·羅賓斯)，發現自己出現了精神問題的後遺症，常出現被追殺的幻覺，每當生死交關時刻，他會在另一個時空活回來，回想著之前發生的噩夢遭遇，然而隨即他又被現實世界中喚醒，所以他彷彿活在兩個世界般，難以確定孰真孰假？或許兩者都是假的？你根本沒醒來過？
一位自越南退役的老兵希望能重新展開他正常的生活,但是他卻常常受到戰場上記憶及一些異象幻覺的干擾,同時他也發現其他過去戰場上的夥伴也碰到同樣的問題,很快的,他警覺到這是一項複雜的陰謀.....
